What’s in the works for 2016?

It’s been more than three months since I last updated the website! Needless to say, the end of 2015 and the beginning of 2016 have been busy.

The current offering of Basic Elements of Creative Fiction Writing is in full swing as we’re approaching the course’s halfway point. So far, we’ve covered elements such as conflict-crisis-resolution, characterization, and scene-versus-summary development. The remaining classes are devoted to point-of-view and workshop. For those interested in learning about the craft of fiction writing, the same course will be offered again next fall/winter.

Two other projects are in the works for 2016, one of which is a joint non-fiction project currently in the fleshing-out stages. The project will include the development of a new website devoted to travel, culture, and human interest stories. The website will also feature photography. Stay tuned for more details.

The second project is a fiction serial that I will more than likely “publish” through this website. The fiction project is in an earlier stage of development, so expect to hear more about this closer to the end of 2016.

In the meantime, I’ve also picked up some technical and/or non-fiction freelance editing projects. I realized that the website did not include information about this type of service, so the editing page of the website will be updated with that information shortly.

I hope the first part of 2016 finds everyone happy and healthy.
